O’Connell Street is said to be the widest main street in Europe. Tree-lined with some high-profile hotels, shops, and restaurants this is also home to four world-famous theatres and this is regarded as Dublin’s theatre district.
The General Post Office building dates back to 1818 and this is where the Proclamation of the Republic was read. Other iconic building includes the Gresham Hotel and Clery’s.
The Spire stands 120 metres high and was designed in 2003, is a striking monument right in the centre of O’Connell Street.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is located in Dublin's Docklands which details the history of the Irish diaspora and emigration to other countries.
