      Dartry

      Dartry is an exclusive suburb in Dublin 6, and one of Dublin's most sought after areas. It is an extremely popular area for families due to its proximity to some of Dublin’s best schools, a short commute into the city centre and it is close to the sought-after villages of Milltown, Ranelagh, Rathgar and Rathmines. There are two local parks to be enjoyed; Palmerston Park, which is popular with families for its wonderful playground. Dartry Park is a great outdoor space for dog lovers. The Dodder Walk stretches from Ballsbridge to Rathfarnham and is much loved by locals and enjoyed by walkers, joggers and dog owners. Other local amenities include several sporting clubs, gyms, Brookfield Tennis Club and the nearby Milltown Golf course. The M50, city centre and Dundrum Town Centre are all within easy reach. The LUAS at Milltown provides easy access into the city centre. EDUCATION There is an abundance of exceptional schools in the area. Primary schools include Kildare Place School, Rathgar Junior School, Zion Parish Primary School, Alexandra College Junior School, St. Mary's in Donnybrook and Sandford Park School. Secondary schools include Stratford College, Gonzaga College, Alexandra College, High School, St. Mary's College, Muckross Park College and Sandford Park School. DINE & DRINK Wilde & Green is a very popular weekend coffee shop, deli and local market, right in the heart of Milltown Village. The Dropping Well in Milltown is a well-known traditional pub and contemporary Irish restaurant. In Rathgar, Bijou Restaurant is an all-time favourite European restaurant in Rathgar.  Orwell Road Restaurant is a wonderful fine dining restaurant that creates beautiful food. Elephant & Castle, Farmer Browns, Manifesto, Siam Thai, and Kafka are just a few of the wonderful restaurants in Rathmines. Popular options in Ranelagh include Nicks Coffee, Project Black, Rita’s, Tribecca, Dillinger’s, Host, Nightmarket, and Taphouse. SHOP There are multiple local and nearby shopping options in the area. There is a large Spar on the Milltown Road for convenient shopping.  Rathgar has several local shops, including a small Supervalu supermarket right in its centre. For a weekly shop, there is a Dunnes Stores in Rathmines, and a Lidl, Supervalu and Tesco in Ranelagh Village.
