Donnybrook is a highly sought-after location in Dublin 4, right on the doorstep of the city. History & Culture
Donnybrook was home to the famous Donnybrook Fair, which operated in the area for over 700 years until 1886. According to reports, it attracted thousands of people with the sounds of drums, bells, toy trumpets, fiddles, bagpipes and singing. By the beginning of the 19th century, the fair became more a site of public entertainment.
Donnybrook was a thriving village over the centuries, with cotton mills, calico mills and quarries and today boast a proper village with a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and a great place to call home.
